This is certainly true of the shelf system String, designed in 1949 by Swedish architect and designer Nils Strinning. Still made in Sweden today, String has become one of the twentieth century’s foremost design icons. Today String can be found in homes and offices worldwide.

It's easy to explain why the brand is so loved. Since it's been around it is one of the most versatile and flexible, yet minimalist shelving systems. The shelves are easy to assemble and can quickly be repositioned. Shelves of various depths can be combined, it is stable and can be extended in all directions. The height is flexible according to floor-standing or wall-mounted panels and shelves and cabinets can be hung at any height within the panels. Whether the wall surface is large or small String will always be beautifully functional.  

Recently String has taken the brand to a next level, adding metal shelves and a series of functional accessories, suitable for kitchens and hallways. Excellent organisation tools to keep your kitchen, hallway or workspace neat and tidy. Besides some new colors, these additions give you many new possibilities to the already super flexible String system.
