The Terre Lamp by Grès has a ceramic base with a smooth, white glazing called Kaolin. It is complemented by a shade winded with jute or cotton rope.
Grès is a collection of ceramic table lamps, hand crafted in France. A pure and sincere project between styliste and photographer Aurélie Lecuyer and ceramist Benoit Audureau and just how we like it.
The unique clay Benoit uses is raw and unfiltered, whatever is in the clay stays in the clay. After being fired, the imperfections will be revealed. The pieces are then covered with a magnesian glazing, which will reveal different shades of white, brown and grey.
The production of the lamps is entirely based on utility and small series. Each lamp is a unique piece, shaped by hand, variations in shape and color are to be expected.
