Dandelion Paperweight
- Description
This unique paperweight, encapsulate a dandelion clock, is something you just want to keep looking at. The dandelion clock is cast in clear resin and then individually turned and polished to a superb finish.
Clear polyester resin is used to embed botanical specimens without destroying them, as molten glass would. The globe shape allows the dandelion to be seen in its beauty from all angles, creating a crystal clear effect. The polyester resin contains a UV filter, to protect the dandelion from fading.
The original paperweights were first produced in 1968 by Barry Needham, as a form of therapy.
