All pieces in the eco-friendly Ildpot series are made of unglazed cordierite ceramic, a material capable of withstanding large temperature differences.
In the 1970s, the Ildpot stoneware series designed by the renowned architect and designer Grethe Meyer, was welcomed by Danish households as a truly novel series of tableware. Grethe first and foremost wanted the Ildpot series to be functional. She therefore went to great lengths in shaping all the bowls, dishes and cups to fit as neatly as possible into ovens and kitchen cupboards. She tested all the pieces in her own kitchen, thereby ensuring that they lived up to her functional and space-saving requirements.
