RETAIL ASSISTANT

8 - 16 hours per week (possibly soon more hours)

The Fine Store offers thoughtful, timeless and quality goods for the home, on- and offline. 

We are looking for a detail-oriented, flexible individual to help run the store in The Hague. This position is available for immediate training, with the official start date open to negotiation. If you live nearby and have a passion for interiors, this role might be a great fit for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Fine Store breaths craftsmanship, quality and a refined aesthetic. As a Retail Assistant, your role is to convey this essence to our customers through exceptional hospitality, expert knowledge and thoughtful advice, while also ensuring the store maintains its fine appearance.

As a Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the store reflects our brand’s values through exceptional customer service and a well-maintained environment. You will assist customers by providing expert product knowledge, answering their questions and offering personalized advice. You enjoy sales, are commercially minded and like being in contact with customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Gaining a deep understanding of our products to inform and assist customers.
• Managing stock control and processing (online) orders.
• Maintaining a clean, organized and visually appealing store.
• Updating the online store, including adding new products, writing content, and editing images.
• Handling logistics and processing deliveries.

This position is initially for a flexible 8 hours a week, with the possibility of expanding to 16 hours, and potential for more hours and responsibility in the near future. Saturdays are also part of the schedule.

The Fine Store is a young company with many ambitions. WHO YOU ARE

This role demands an authentic person with honest customer service skills that likes to work independently. Do you recognize yourself in this and all of the above and do you consider yourself:

• A curious, slightly perfectionistic and flexible person;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
• Resident of the The Hague area;
• A graduate from (minimal) a bachelor's degree;
• Competent with graphic software like Photoshop en InDesign.
