RETAIL ASSISTANT

21 hours per week _ maternity leave replacement (with a possibility of extension)

The Fine Store offers a range of consciously curated interior and lifestyle products, on- and offline. 

We are looking for a Retail Assistant to help run the store in The Hague. This vacancy is a maternity leave replacement, from October until January, with a possibility of extension.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Fine Store breaths craftsmanship, quality and a refined aesthetic. Your responsibility as Retail Assistant is to bring this across to our customers, using your hospitality, knowledge and advice as well as taking care of the presentation in store. It’s essential for you to understand the products so you are able to give as much information as possible. You enjoy sales, are commercially minded and like being in contact with customers.

Besides this, your tasks include stock control, processing (online) orders and keeping the store tidy and clean. Other duties are adding new products to the online store, writing content and editing images.

The Fine Store is a young company with lots of ambitions. We are looking for someone to understand our aesthetic and is keen to contribute to our growth.  Someone with a passion for interior and interest in retail. We offer a versatile job with many possibilities to learn.

 

Your main responsibilities:

• A positive client experience

• Ensuring merchandise in the store is adequately stocked and presented

• Stock keeping, on- and offline

• Daily administration and reporting

• Processing online orders

WHO YOU ARE

You do not often find a role like this. It demands an authentic person with honest customer service skills within a retail environment that likes to work independently. Do you recognize yourself in this and all of the above and do you consider yourself:

• A curious, perfectionistic and flexible person;

• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;

• Resident of the The Hague area;

• A graduate from (minimal) a bachelor's degree;

• Competent with graphic software like Photoshop en InDesign.
