The elegant Mantis BS1 Floor Lamp is like a manifesto of the Mantis collection, created by Bernard Schottlander in England in 1951.

The Mantis collection consists of a series of lamps with a unique shade and a clever system of counterweights combined with strong and flexible metal bars.

The Mantis BS1 Floor Lamp has an iconic tripod base and a thin, counterweighted metal leg that rotates 360 degrees and can be tilted into four different angles.

In 1951 Bernard Schottlander created the Mantis series of lamps. Movement is intrinsic to all of Schottlander’s work: an artist, an engineer and in no small measure a handyman, he devised a clever system of counterweights combined with a series of strong and flexible metal bars. The shade also is unique of its kind.

Shipping costs

The Netherlands

We are happy to offer free delivery on all domestic orders over €70.

Orders with a lower value ship for €6 or €4 when it fits a mailbox.

Europe

Regular orders to Germany and Belgium ship for €8. Customers from France, Luxembourg, Austria and Denmark pay €12.

The standard shipping costs for Spain, Italy, Portugal and most other European countries are €16.

An additional shipping fee may be added when orders exceed standard dimensions.

Rest of the world

We offer worldwide shipping of small items and accessories. Standard international shipping costs are based on the weight of your order and are calculated at check out.
